The following images of the flags of military units in former Yugoslavia People's Army were made according to Military Lexicon and my own experience as well. I served in the Army in 1988-89.
The flags were in use for military parades, during the recruits' allegiance ceremony and in other solemn occasions.
Cyrillic inscription says: "For freedom and independence - of Socialist fatherland". Reverse side has the same inscription, but in Latin rendition of Serbo-Croat/Croato-Serb.
These designs were the common layout of the various military flags of Yugoslavia People's Army, possibly from its beginning (Second World War).
